Harder- Tiesto & KSHMR (Jun 2017)

I really like this song. I’ve been waiting for this to come out for a long time. Tiesto had been previewing it on his Instagram for a month or two and he definitely got me excited about it. Tiesto has a tendency to make hit songs and I really think this might be the next big one. I wouldn’t be surprised if this rose to “song of the summer” status. It’s got a great chill vibe while packing in enough energy to keep it exciting. People should check the song out and always keep tabs on what Tiesto puts out.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat Justin Bieber- Despacito (VMK ThatBehavior remix) (Jun 2017)

This song has transcended where I thought it ever was going to be when I reviewed the song in my first ever Five Song Friday back in January. Now with the addition of Justin Bieber (it’s not his song btw, he’s just a featured artist), this song is HUGE. This remix is by far the best one I’ve heard. It maintains the latin roots, not blasting over them thinking this is a Justin Bieber song. With original drops and featuring both Fonsi and Daddy Yankee as prominently as Bieber is something I can really get behind. It’s the number one song for a reason, the remix doesn't’ make it worse so that's a win for sure.

R3hab feat. Little Daylight- Truth or Dare (Jun 2017)

I feel like I always post whatever R3hab's newest songs are on here but whatever, this is my website and I’ll do what I want. He returns with another great song that’s right up my alley as far as my musical tastes go. Great sound, good vocals, memorable, I mean what’s a guy gotta do to blow up. R3hab is right there on the precipice of mainstream success. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for whatever he decides to put out next because it’ll most likely be great.

Flosstradamus feat. Cara- How You Gon’ Do That (Jun 2017)

I don’t think I’ve reviewed a Flosstradamus song before but they’ve been on my radar for a while. This is my first opportunity to get out ahead of one of their newer songs and stake my claim as a fan. Floss is a little bit bassier than most of the other songs I enjoy but the restraint in this song is what allows it to really shines. They pull back in some areas to make the drops more impactful and not overwhelm the  vocals. I'm impressed, I didn’t know if I would like it or not but I’m pleasantly surprised by this song.

OneRepublic - Lift Me Up (Michael Brun Remix) (Jun 2017)

OneRepublic seemingly has a sound that translates to EDM very well. With their first song with Alesso blowing up I’m surprised they haven’t worked more in the genre. But I guess now they’re back. While the song is not quite to the level of their last foray into EDM it’s still a solid piece of music. Not losing my mind over it but not a whole lot of complaints on my end. Hopefully they can make more music and return to the prominence they were at a few years ago.
