Stan Walker- New Takeover (Jun 2017)
After seeing it posted by one of my friends from my time in New Zealand and the subsequent comments I had to check this one out. Stan Walker, himself is out of New Zealand and how this video depicts New Zealand culture amazingly. Incorporating elements of kapa haka and Maori culture makes this video and song much more powerful. While the song probably won’t be a huge hit it’s awesome to reminisce about my time in New Zealand and learning about Maori culture.

Shallou- Heights (Jun 2017)
As summer approaches we all need a wealth of chilled out, tropical sounding songs to make terrible GoPro videos or pretend like we can afford a trip to exotic islands. Here’s one you can throw out there as you try to forget about drowning in student loans and instead drowning in some piña coladas and Corona.

Vanic- Staring at the Sun (June 2017)
Summer songs abound on this list. While not exactly tropical it does have a upbeat summer feel that allows it to slide right into any playlist you might be listening to this summer. Don’t get me wrong I’m not jumping out of my seat on this one but I definitely enjoy it.

RL Grime feat Miguel- Stay for It (June 2017)
Who’d think to put Miguel on a EDM song? Well besides RL Grime obviously, but I definitely didn’t think that this would work but it does. I like that Grime makes it work, there can be challenges when using vocals from someone already so established in one genre to make an original song but I think he pulls it off.

Diplo, Rich Chigga, Young Thug & Rich the Kid- Bankroll (June 2017)
So the story about this song is kind of strange. This was uploaded a month or two ago but was promptly taken down by Diplo. Most people thought it was because it was trash but turns out it was for something else. With Justin Bieber on the original, Diplo faced pressure from major studios to take it down with Bieber having so many songs out at the same time, they didn’t want the competition. Well that’s what Diplo said... whatever it’s both hilarious and awesome that Rich Chigga is on this now.
