Just like if you spend time with someone you start to pick up on the annoying tendencies they have whether they leave dishes in the sink, don’t clean the coffee grounds on the counter, or send you passive aggressive messages not addressing their actual issues but hoping their “hints” will actually make you do something different when it actually induces only rage.
But what if that person is yourself?
The title pretty much covers it, I’m bored, I am explaining here the nature of my boredom and elaborating on how I plan to combat it while writing in my apartment over the next three months.
My much anticipated return to writing self-assuredly on topics I possess little to no self-assurance on. This time it's about mindfulness and presence and...hey...stop looking at your phone...pay attention...no don't scroll down...damn...
After Sam Harris and Joe Rogan talked about this almost three years ago, determinism is still one of the biggest ways I can empathize with people. Check out my thoughts on determinism and how it can be beneficial to you. (maybe...)
Deciding whether or not to take on more responsibility is one of the inevitable side-effects of "adulting." Avoiding responsibility is also, one of the inevitable side-effects of "adulting."
It’s honestly taken me four or five days for this to not take up majority of my thoughts. In that time I realized there are ways for me to handle these pervasive and borderline obsessive thought patterns when dealing with the unknown. If they helped me they might help you, so I think it’s worth me writing about.
(Not sure if the title makes you want to click on this but I tried) Life hands you a lot of curveballs. You can be cruisin’ along thinking you’ve got the whole life thing mapped out.. But sometimes it takes is a couple speed bumps before realizing you need to take a step back and face some of your irrational fears.
There's a more to people than people think. People are like onions. "They stink?" Ye...No! "Oh they make you cry?" No! "Oh you leave 'em out in the sun to long they get all brown, start sprouting little white hairs?" No! Layers! Onions have layers.
A birthday is a lot of things; it’s a celebration that you made it through another year of life, it’s a time to look back at the past year and see how you can improve, and a time to look forward at the year ahead to see where you’re going. It’s also a great time to smother the inevitable existential crisis with a greasy bloomin onion and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s

Whenever you realize you might have a major personality flaw it's usually best to keep it to yourself and silently work on it. It's probably not a good idea to blast it all over social media. It's a bold strategy, let's see if it pays off.
*SPOILER ALERT* I talk about them. Well...I talk about talking about them...just click the link!
What’s the two things we’ve been told not to talk about? Religion and Politics. What’s everyone talking about nowadays? Religion and Politics. What does the vast majority of people not know how to have a civil discussion about? Religion and Politics.
I don't think I'll ever understand why someone would make click-bait or lie just to get more recognition. I just want to get better at writing, I'm not trying to be mediocre AND famous, that sounds terrible.
They tell you to never talk about politics or religion, but whether you go to the gym is a close third. You can't really bring it up or people's eyes just glaze over which is terrible mostly because it reminds me of the glazed donuts I can't have because I care about what I eat and I HAVE SOME SEMBLANCE OF SELF CONTROL!
I’m just curious how early in your job does the whole pretending to work thing kick in? A month? 2 months? A day? Like what are we talking here? I got a ton of questions. For the ordinary person, do you redline it the whole day? How much coffee do you drink? How many people take naps? Do you goof off?
If you went to High School, middle school, any school for that matter you've probably encountered these sad excuses for towels. If you ever wanted to relive that despair look no further.
